Christmas Tree Tutorial featuring Bella! Xmas Paperz

Hi everyone!  I have a video tutorial to share with you today on how to create the Christmas tree on this card
 Carda-pattiebeltran

Here is the video:

You will need a circle to create your tree.  You can use any size circle....just make sure to use a size that can be divided easily into thirds.  Once you cut your circle in half (you only need a half circle to create the tree), you will score the half circle at the 1/3 mark.  For example, a 6" circle would be scored at 2"...I used a 5 1/4" circle and scored it at 1 3/4".

Autumn Home Decor

Hi everyone! I have an Autumn Home Decor Project that I created featuring one of my favorite Punky Sprouts products....Punky Playground.  Have you played with these yet?  It's an awesome 12x12 scalloped corrugated cardboard background that is perfect for all sorts of crafting projects!  Whether it be a layout, used as a frame or the background for home decor, Punky Playground is the way to go!
I love being able to distress the cardboard.  After peeling the chipboard, I used some Distress Stains and a touch of Distress Paint to accent the chipboard and my papers.
Here is a close-up of my pumpkin.  All you need are 3 ovals of the same size.  Place 2 ovals next to each other at a slight angle and pop the third one onto the first two using foam adhesives.

Autumn Cards featuring Punky Sprouts Embellishments

Hi everyone.  I have a couple of autumn inspired cards to share with you.  This is my absolute favorite time of the year!  I love the warmth and coziness that autumn brings and these cards reflect that!

I used Punky Sprouts Lacy Blossoms and Parchment Blossoms to create these cards.  Punky's Lacy Blossoms are by far the prettiest doilies on the market.  And the quality is excellent- they don't tear when you adhere them to your projects!.  I also stitched a denim stem onto my card with some Lil' Seeds buttons as an accent.
This is my other card.  I again used the Lacy Blossoms, Lil' Stems Denim and Lil' Seeds on my card.  These simple cards are enhanced so much my Punky Sprouts embellishments!

I made a simple "box" using some kraft cardstock and decorated away with the vibrant papers in the Candy Cane range.  This candy cane stripe paper is so bright and perfect for this project.
Here are a couple of close-ups of the gift box and card  that accompanies the box.  This is perfect for teacher gifts, gift exchanges, work friends, the list goes on.

Festive Fall Cards

Hi everyone.  I have some festive fall cards to share with you today.
I so enjoyed creating these cards using some of Ruby Rock-It's fabulous products as well as some fun products from our swap partner for this month...Epiphany Crafts!
I used some Kinda Krafty paperz along with trims and the Hexagon 25 Punch from Epiphany Crafts to make this card.
For this card, I used strictly the Epiphany Crafts punch without using the epoxy bubbles to create a fun background for my card.  I also used my Spellbinder dies to create this fun pumpkin.
I think this card is probably my favorite!  I used a Fundamentals embossed card base, cut out a pumpkin shape and inked up the card base.  This is a great way to get more bang for your buck when buying these fabulous card bases!

Vellum Ghosts...Spooky!!

Hi everyone!  All month long at Ruby Rock-It, we are sharing all things Halloween and Fall!  This is my absolute favorite time of the year and I always get excited for the cool crisp air, the leaves changing color and all of the upcoming holidays!  So, having said that.....I created a fun decoration for my home.  I love that strings of lights are acceptable for most holidays now and figured, why not make cute little ghosts from vellum to cover the mini lights.  I created these from just vellum and a sharpie (of course adhesives as well, lol)- can you believe it.  If you haven't used Fundamentals vellum yet- I have to say that this is the nicest, thickest, sturdiest vellum I have ever seen!  It is awesome!
These vellum ghosts are simple to make and required few tools.  A paper trimmer, score board of some sort (or you could use your trimmer plus a bone folder), a sharpie and Zots Dots.
After making a bunch of these, I popped them onto the string of lights.  Another fun thing that I did was to use a border punch to create a fun bottom edge to the ghosts.
I took these pictures of my string of lights...unfortunately as you all know, taking photos of strings of lights can be challenging, but I'm sure you get the idea of how cute this is!

Pumpkin Name cards

Hi everyone!  I have some cute pumpkin name cards that are perfect for the upcoming holidays.  Every year, I make all of the place cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and these are the ones that I made last year.  They are super simple and take only a few "ingredients"
I used 4- 12x1" strips and 1- 12x 3/4" strip of Bella! Embossed cardstock.  I scored each strip every 1/4", accordion folded it to create the medallions.

I used a cinnamon stick as the center for each pumpkin.  I stacked them (first the 4 1' wide medallions, then the smaller 3/4" medallion).

I love not only the look of these, but the cinnamon stick makes the room smell heavenly!!

I hope you get inspired to create some of these fun little pumpkins for your holiday season as well.  Happy Scrapping!

Memo Board using Bella! Boutique Back to School

Hi everyone! I have a fun Memo Board to share with you  that is easy to make with your little ones.  I used the Bella! Boutique School Days paper range and embellishments to make this place for the littles to share notes, achievements and all things school related throughout the year!
Cp-pattiebeltran

I used a simple frame and embellished it with strips of paper and some of the awesome Chipboard Accents

Cp7-pattiebeltran
I made medallions to embellish both the frame and the clothespins.  The ruler paper from the Bella Boutique Paper pack is perfect for creating medallions- just cut apart the ruler strips, score ever 1/4" and pleat away.  This is where little nimble fingers come in handy.

PicMonkey Collage
These are the cute little clothespins.  They are perfect for hanging spelling tests, report card, important school info or any other special/important info that comes home from your school.

Welcome Back featuring Bella! Boutique Back to School

Hi everyone!  Pattie here to share with you a cute Welcome Back sign plus a fun paper apple- perfect for Back to School time.  If you are like me, the kids are settling back into their hectic school schedules and the lazy days of summer are just a fading memory.  I created this fun little Welcome Back sign and paper apple using the fun Bella! Back to School paper range.
9-4-pattiebeltran

Sign-pattiebeltran
Here is a close-up of my sign.  I love the bright vibrant colors in the Bella! Back to School paper range!  It makes me miss my kids being in elementary school!
Apple-pattiebeltran
Here is the apple that I made.  Super simple.  I cut a sheet of paper 6x12.  Then I cut 1/2" strips.  I punched a small hole in each end of the paper.  Next I fed a brad through all of the holes (you will repeat for both ends).  Then gently spread and space the paper strips.  I bent the ends to make the apple stand on it's own.  Easy!
